High performance, lightweight and breathable, the redesigned Zone now features our patented seamless Infinity Belay Loop, which is durable, low profile, and eliminates the dreaded belay-loop-shift when the loop-seam catches while dogging a route. Good low-bulk harness.

The zone is a good versatile harness. It is comfortable. The gear loops are well placed and not so far back that it requires shoulder dislocations to retrieve gear back there. The ice-clippers are awesome and well-placed. The infinity donut belay loop seems nice. It doesnâ€™t catch or hang up when rotating. Minuses: the leg loops are notably snugger than on previous generation BD harnesses. The size L is the new M+. The wear on the back of the leg loops was significant after a week of climbing and 4th class butt-scootch descents.

Versatile harness

This harness is really good at just about everything, from sport climbing to trad climbing, even mountaineering and ice climbing it does it all. Plus the cool color is a great bonus

Great harness

It supports in all of the right ways, but keeps the weight down low enough to not notice it when not actively climbing. The leg loops feel really secure but not overly tight and it the harness flexes really well when Iâ€™m stretching out for a long foot hold. As an intermediate climber I think that it fits my needs exactly at the axis between features, price, and weight. Iâ€™ve been using black diamond harnesses for over 10 years and this harness continues on a great tradition of making quality gear.
