An essential snow safety tool that easily attaches to nearly any BD adjustable pole for added reach, the Snow Saw Pro features a compact, folding design and a serrated, stainless steel blade.

It had all the versatility I needed and was at the right price point. Highly recommend .
Great saw, efficient and sturdy. Not the lightest out there, but it stands the test of time (and numerous trips) so far. Have it since a year.
I’d say the best feature of this saw is the folding action. The blade is easy to stash in a backpack when folded without concern for an exposed blade cutting other items. The easy attachment to a BD trekking pole is excellent for extending the saw for ECTs or long cuts. Very easy and quite stable for an extension. A couple detractors: the position locking button for saw sticks out and easily gets jammed with snow and ice if cutting deeper than the blade, like when cutting ECT columns, and the blade flexes a bit more than desired. Slower, more careful cutting can give a straighter cut with this blade.
Avid backcountry weekend warrior, fits my needs perfectly. Folding/locking mechanism is solid, blade is nicely stiff but not overly burly, solid ski pole attachment, fits in my backpack nicely.
With the attachment to the ski pole this makes the longest sword to poke friends with. I've used it for pits and works to cut the back of the pit when there is a crust that the cord won't cut. Don't forget to tighten the screw once you pick the pole size. Found it loose in the field and had to tighten it when i got home
